Healthy vegetables, and lean ground beef tossed with the sweet and savory dark sauce are just heaven for me. Stir Fry is totally customizable. You can add other veggies such as mushrooms, or snap peas. You can swap also the beef for pork, turkey, chicken, or even tofu!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best oil to use in a stir-fry?

You need an oil that has a high smoke point such as vegetable oil, canola oil, soybean oil, or peanut oil. Extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, flax-seed oil, shortening, or stir fry is not suitable for stir-frying for the low smoke point.

Although there are some Chinese dishes it uses Sesame Oil to fry the ingredients, stir-frying should be avoided. Can't overheat it, otherwise, it will burn and make your dish taste very bitter.

  • The recommendation is to use Wok.
  • Avoid overloading the wok with ingredients.

Tips and Tricks

  • Cut up all your ingredients before heating the oil. So once the oil is ready and hot, you can stir-fry them quickly on high heat.
  • Cook meat and veggies separately. So you'll know everything is cooked completely.
  • Add ingredients to the Wok based on the amount of time they need to be cooked. For example, if you use a big chunk of broccoli, spring onions, and carrots, add first broccoli, the carrots, and the spring onions.
  • Stir constantly, so everything can cook fast and evenly.
