- Flour – I use all-purpose flour but you can also use other types of flour, like Wheat Flour.
- Unsalted Butter – It can be used also Salted Butter, any kind.
- Light Brown Sugar – any sugar is good
- Cocoa Powder – The key ingredient for the chocolate brownie batter
- Vanilla Extract – I just add a little bit, because I don’t want to overpower the chocolate taste
- Milk – any kind of milk usable.
- Kosher Salt
- Dark Chocolate Chips – another important ingredient to make the batter more chocolaty
The recipe is simple yet impressive and delicious. You just need 10 minutes of your time, and you will satisfy your sweet tooth for the day.
How to Make this Brownie Batter
The first step, flour heat treating is a very important step. Don’t skip it in no way for your safety. We want to make this batter the safest it can be, so just do the steps. Let’s kill the germs and enjoy this delicious fudgy batter.
There is no need to worry about eggs here because there is no egg. So let’s get into it.
- Let’s heat treat the flour in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute until the flour reaches 165°F on a thermometer. Repeat if necessary.
- Melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. Pour the butter into a mixing large bowl and add the light brown sugar. Whisk to combine with a hand mixer.
- Use your hand mixer on low to stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt til combined.
- Add the 6 tbsp of milk and stir together until well combined. Adjust the milk with more milk until you get the desired consistency.
- Add dark chocolate chips and mix them until well combined.
Your only necessary equipment is a Hand Mixer and a Mixing Bowl. If you don’t have an electric hand mixer (which I use because it’s just more convenient), you can use a big spoon, a whisker, or even a stand mixer. But for this little amount of batter, I didn’t found necessary to take out my stand mixer.
If you want to place it in a Glass Jar, this is a beautiful one.
Important Information
With this amount of ingredients, you’ll get approximately 4 servings. 1 serving will be about 6.2 ounces (or about 1 cup) of batter and will be around 376 calories. The calories will depend o the additional toppings or the amount of chocolate chip you include in the batter. Some people like to add more or less.
How to Store the Edible Brownie Batter
Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. It will firm up in the fridge, so let it sit out at room temperature for around 15-20 minutes to soften, before eating it.
