Vegan Gigi Hadid Pasta is the easiest most flavorful one-pot pasta that is creamy, spicy, and the perfect dish to make during the week. The original name of the dish is Spicy Vodka Pasta and originated in Italy. But thanks to the supermodel Gigi Hadid, who made it viral with a single TikTok video.
Just to make it clear, we are doing a vegan variation of the Italian Spicy Vodka Pasta recipe without vodka. This is the pasta that Gigi Hadid herself shared. All the tips and tricks come from her.
You don’t need to be a chef to make this pasta dish, you don’t need some difficult extra tricks to do it. Vegan Gigi Hadid Pasta is one of the easiest main dishes you can make just in 30 minutes.

Here’s what you need
- I used whole-grain penne pasta but you can use any other type of pasta, like shell pasta, fusilli, penne, farfalle (bowtie), or conchiglie.
- extra virgin olive oil
- small red onion, diced
- tomato sauce, or tomato paste
- coconut cream or coconut milk
- unsweetened almond milk
- minced garlic
- OPTIONAL – Basil or Spinach
- OPTIONAL – Vegan Parmesan Cheese for garnish
Instructions for the Vegan Gigi Hadid Pasta
- Cook the pasta while following the directions in the package. After it is cooked, make sure you save ½ cup of pasta water.
- Heat a large saucepan over medium heat, then add the olive oil, and cook the onion until soft and transparent.
- Then add the garlic. Stir in the tomato paste, coconut cream, and almond milk sauce is mostly creamy and thickened. For extra flavor, you can add a few small basil leaves.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Then add the pasta water into the sauce when the pasta is ready.
- Then add the pasta to the sauce and make sure the pasta is fully coated with the sauce.
- You can add some vegan parmesan cheese for garnish or you can also stir it in the pasta.
What to serve with Vegan Gigi Hadid Pasta
For me, one of the perfect side dishes for pasta is Fried Green Plantains and also Broccoli Fritters.

- ¼ small red onion diced
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup coconut cream or coconut milk
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- basil or spinach to taste (optional)
- vegan parmesan for garnish (optional)
