Tiramisu Overnight Oats is a creamy, fulfilling healthy breakfast that is a perfect way to kick off the day! You’ll have a nice familiar taste-like breakfast If you like the Italian delicious Tiramisu dessert. So deliciously perfect.

Do you like savory or you are more like a sweet type of breakfast person? I do love sweet brunches, and I am so excited to show my own recipe for the Tiramisu Overnight Oats. I made a lot of versions before but I didn’t have the Tiramisu “experience” that they promised. So, I made my own version.
They had espresso coffee in their recipe, and that was good… but it tasted like Espresso Overnight Oats like this recipe, and not like a “Tiramisu” -ish overnight oats. If you know what I mean.
I think, for the best Tiramisu experience you definitely need Mascarpone in your overnight oats, since mascarpone is one of the main ingredient for the classic Tiramisu dessert… and that what we want to get. If somebody doesn’t like the taste of mascarpone, or doesn’t have it right now, cream cheese is a perfect substitution.
Why You’ll Love It
- This will be your favorite breakfast if you are a fan of Tiramisu
- A creamy and fulfilling meal
- Kid’s friendly
- Perfect brunch for sweet-tooth persons
Ingredients You’ll Need
Before I even start listing the ingredients, I want you to know that you can make this healthier as it is. White sugar can be substituted with other alternatives, Mascarpone can be substituted and also milk can be substituted.
- Old Fashioned Oats – use old-fashioned oats, not Instant oats. Instant Oat gets too mushy and soggy when it’s soaked in liquid.
- Milk – You can use any milk of choice
- Espresso Coffee – It’s one of the signature ingredients for Tiramisu. You can use decaffeinated coffee or any kind of coffee. The alternative can be cocoa powder. But that’s just if you really don’t like the coffee taste, because it will change the experience of the taste we like to get.
- Pinch of Salt – Balances out the sweetness
- Sweetener of Choice – I used white sugar but you can choose any sweetener. Don’t overdo it on this step, because the Mascarpone Cream has the sweetness which will balance the two together.
Mascarpone Cream
Mascarpone cream is a very important factor for the Tiramisu generally and so for our oats. It can be substituted or made in different ways and most likely will be delicious in any way.
- Egg White – other alternatives can be heavy cream, if you looking for a healthier choice you can have Greek Plain Yogurt as another alternative.
- Egg Yolk
- Sugar – We need sugar for making whipping cream, and that’s made with white sugar.
- Mascarpone Cheese – This can be substituted with Cream Cheese, or can be made with a mixture of both kinds of cheese.
- Cocoa Powder – the traditional topping for the Tiramisu
Healthier Choice for Tiramisu Overnight Choice
Combine Greek Plain Yogurt with your sweetener of choice, then mix together with mascarpone. It’s not the same experience taste-like, BUT it’s a healthier choice.
How to make Tiramisu Overnight Oats
- Combine in bowl instant oats with milk and lightly sweetened espresso coffee, a pinch of salt and one spoon of the sweetener of choice.
- Cover it with aluminum foil and leave it in the fridge overnight.
Mascarpone Cream
- Beat egg yolk with sugar until is smooth and creamy.
- Whip egg white with sugar until it has a nice whipped cream consistency.
- Add mascarpone and mix until nicely combined.
- Then add the egg yolk mixture into the egg white mixture and mix until well combined.
How to Assemble
Just to make it easier for you, I list the steps how to assemble it together. You can add it just how it comes (for some people it’s not important) or nicely to have a beautiful for the eyes breakfast.
- The next morning add a small layer of mascarpone cream.
- Add a layer of oats.
- Add a layer of mascarpone cream.
- Add the second layer of oats.
- Finish it with a small layer of mascarpone cream.
- On the top dust with cocoa powder. Enjoy!
I love to add more cream to my Overnight Oats to have a creamy texture. Oats with a small amount of cream because a little too dry for my taste and that’s just not appealing to me.
Food for me is an experience, and I like to make any breakfast, lunch, or dinner spectacle for the eyes. I like to feed my eyes first and then dive in for the rest of the experience.
Do you want more breakfast ideas including oats? Pumpkin Quaker Oats is another favorite which is a super healthy breakfast and it’s ready in 15 minutes.
