If you are a fan of matcha like me, this Matcha Overnight Oats will be your favorite choice for breakfast. Easy, quick to make, and nutritious food for your first meal of the day. It literally, takes 5 minutes to prep the night before, and it’s ready to enjoy right after you wake up.
The nutrients that you’re looking for are all included in this glass of deliciousness. Thanks to the collagen and the matcha benefits we are getting a really nourishing breakfast. Why do I recommend having a matcha powder filled with collagen?
Collagen is the most beneficial protein in your body, and Matcha contains nutrients from the tea leaf, which results in a large amount of caffeine and antioxidants. So, to start the day with all these nutritive goodies…I think in any way is the perfect combination.
…and on top of that, is delicious.
There are a few favorite overnight oat recipes that I recommend on repeat, like the Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats, the Tiramisu Overnight Oats which I do also for a nutritious dessert on repeat…and the ultimate Peanut Butter Overnight Oats.

Ok, What’s The Ingredients?
The Matcha Overnight Oats’ taste, texture, and deliciousness were all perfect! Perfection in a mason jar! Literally is just that simple. It needs 6 ingredients in total and the toppings you choose.
- Almond Milk – I like to use almond milk for breakfast but you can have any type of milk you like.
- Matcha Collagen Powder – There is the link above for the product if you are interested.
- Maple Syrup – Love Maple Syrup! But as an alternative, honey is also a good choice.
- Vanilla Extract – Gives a really nice taste to our overnight oats.
- Oats – This is not cooked, so I use Quick Oats instead of Old Fashioned Oats. I don’t really like the big chunk of uncooked oats so I just use the one I like the texture. Depends on you here! Whichever oats you like, use them.
- Pinch of Salt
Toppings for our Matcha Overnight Oats
Make sure you add the toppings in the morning, right before you eat it. If you add all the toppings the night before, everything can be soggy, and just not fresh at all (especially this goes to nuts and fruits). To prevent this, you add the toppings right before you consume it.
- Greek Yogurt – I used Greek yogurt to add a smooth texture and to give a little fancy look. It goes perfectly with it.
- Granola
- Seeds and Nuts – Cashews, Almonds, Pistachios, Peanuts, Walnuts, Sunflower Seeds, or Pecan go perfectly fine as a topping.
- Fruits – Just use your imagination, or whatever you have in your refrigerator probably matches our breakfast. I used strawberries this time.
- Dried Fruits – can be a very good choice too if you like them.
- Chocolate Chips
- Coconut Flakes
There are a lot of options to choose from, so depends on your taste and what you really have right now on your fridge. You don’t have to overthink it, just use whatever you have.
