Step By Step Bonchon Soy Garlic Chicken Wings Recipe

  1. Mix the black pepper, salt, and cornstarch together. Then mix well with the chicken wings until they are evenly coated.
  2. Deep fry the chicken wings until they are fried all the way through. It takes approximately 12-14 minutes for the wings.
  3. When it's done place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  4. Combine light soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, garlic, and onion in a pan.
  5. Place pan over low-medium heat and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. In a different cup add cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Pour the mixture into the glaze to thicken.
  6. Add the fried chicken wings to the pan and stir or brush them until the chicken is evenly coated with the glaze.
  7. Garnish with white sesame seed and/or chives.
